WhatsApp Business API integration
We build software on WhatsApp. If your customers or your staff already work there, we can make it something your business runs on properly.
What we do
We specialise in building WhatsApp solutions and integrating them across the full range of WhatsApp APIs. That includes messaging through the Business API, voice through the Calling API, commerce features like product catalogues and in-chat ordering, and AI assistants layered on top.
Most of the work is connecting WhatsApp to the systems you already run, so a conversation becomes a ticket, an order, a booking, or a job on somebody's list. The channel is only useful if what happens in it reaches the rest of your business.
What we can build
- Two-way messaging with many agents, routing and automation
- Voice calls through the WhatsApp Calling API
- Product catalogues and in-chat ordering
- AI assistants that answer routine questions and hand over to a person when needed
- Notifications such as order updates, reminders and one-time codes
- Integration with your CRM, helpdesk, ERP or a custom backend
Getting set up
A few things have to be in place before anything can be sent. We handle them for you:
- Meta Business verification for your company, checked against your documents.
- A phone number that is not already active in the WhatsApp Business app.
- Display name approval for the name customers will see.
- Onboarding that connects your Meta assets to the platform sending your messages.
Most delays happen at verification, and usually because the paperwork was incomplete. We prepare it properly so it goes through once.
Sending messages
When a customer messages you, you have 24 hours to reply with anything. Outside that window you send a template that Meta has approved in advance.
Templates fall into categories: marketing, utility and authentication. The category affects both what you are allowed to send and what you pay, so it is worth getting the template library right early rather than accumulating rejections and surprise costs.
What it costs
Meta bills per message for the templates you send, priced by category and by the country you are sending to. Messages inside a conversation the customer started are free.
In practice your bill follows how often you start conversations, not how much you talk. Designing flows so customers open the conversation has a real effect on cost. Meta has revised this pricing more than once, so we work out your likely volume against the current rates before you commit to anything.
How we work
We built our own reliability layer over the API, because delivery retries, rate limits, webhook ordering and expiring media are where integrations tend to break quietly.
We also run Veesva, a field workforce platform built entirely on this channel. Most of what we know here comes from running it in production rather than from reading the documentation.
Work usually starts with a short call, then a written plan, then delivery in stages so you see working message flows early rather than at the end.
We are based in Johannesburg and work with clients across South Africa and the wider Global South, remotely by default.
Common questions
Which parts of WhatsApp can you build on?
Messaging through the Business API, voice through the Calling API, commerce features like product catalogues and in-chat ordering, and AI assistants layered on top of any of them. If Meta offers it on the platform, we can usually work with it.
How long does setup take?
Meta Business verification usually takes a few days to two weeks, depending on how complete your company documents are. Display name review is quicker. We prepare the submission so it passes the first time rather than coming back for corrections.
What does it cost to run?
Meta bills per message for the templates you send, priced by category and by the country you are sending to. Messages inside a conversation the customer started are free. Meta has changed this model more than once, so we price your expected volume against the current rates rather than quoting from memory.
Can we keep our existing number?
Usually yes, but the number cannot stay active in the WhatsApp Business app once it moves across. We plan the cutover so you do not lose message history or availability while it happens.
Do we have to replace our CRM or helpdesk?
No. WhatsApp becomes another way into the tools you already use. We connect it to your ticketing, CRM, ERP or custom backend so conversations land where your team already works.
Can it use AI?
Yes. We build assistants that handle routine questions and hand the conversation to a person when it needs one. You decide where that line sits, and the handover is designed so customers are not left talking to software when they need help.
